Message From Our Board Chair

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara County Chapter of the American Red Cross, I welcome you to our Chapter Website.

Thank you for your interest in the Chapter. As Chapter Chair for this year, I would like to share a brief sketch about each member of the Board as well as some of the issues that we are addressing to help the Chapter as a whole be an even more dynamic resource to the County and beyond.

First and foremost it is especially important to me that the Chapter's services, staff, board, and volunteers reflect the cultural diversity of the communities within our county. Currently, we have a hard-working diversity committee working on proactively addressing where and how we might accomplish this priority more completely.

I invite you to join me in supporting the chapter's efforts. It is truly those who volunteer or donate financially that are deserving of our gratitude. Without the generosity of the Santa Barbara County residents our chapter would not be as successful as it is today.

Currently there are 14 Disaster Action Teams trained, in place, and on call to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whether it be a single family fire, earthquake, or flood, you and all the residents of Santa Barbara County can rely on your Red Cross Chapter. We pledge "We'll Be There."
