    To become a volunteer, complete and submit our online form or contact your local Red Cross Chapter office.

  • Volunteer Resources
    The American Red Cross requires that all volunteers read and confirm that they have read and understood two agreement forms. All volunteers must have a confirmation for each of these forms on file here at the American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter.  Only for currently registered volunteers!

    Each year, the American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter honors its distinguished volunteers during the Annual Volunteer Recognition Event in June. Check out our award categories and this past year’s recipients!

  • Volunteers of the Month
    North & South County Staff members nominate volunteers that have made a measurable impact on the American Red Cross and the community through their continued dedication to their voluntary service and the people it serves.

  • Motor Vehicle/Driver Authorization Policy
    The American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter recently mandated that all Red Cross employees and volunteers who operate Chapter vehicles must comply with the new Motor Vehicle/ Driver Authorization Policy by January 15, 2008 whether they are new to the organization or have been associated with the Red Cross in the past.

  • Office of Volunteers Committee
    Would you like to get involved in the activities behind the activities? Would you like to give input regarding the direction of our programs and services? Would you like to know more about opportunities that are available within the chapter? Then you should think about joining the Office of Volunteers Committee!

    Meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in both Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.

  • Background Checks
    The American National Red Cross has recently mandated that all Red Cross employees and volunteers must complete a background check (at no charge to them) before Oct. 31, 2006 whether they are new to the organization or have been associated with the Red Cross in the past.

  • Volunteer Appreciation Survey
    The American Red Cross is interested in learning about your experience volunteering with us. Please help us improve this experience by answering the following questions.  The survey is available in English and Spanish. Your responses are completely confidential!
